Birthdays, baby showers, ....

Well I have to say that this weekend was full of celebrations!!! Saturday, Ray, Lauren and I drove to the Burg to see the sister for a celebration of her birthday with my family and her friends. It was a very important time for us because we all finally got to meet "the boy"!! I have to say it went really well, considering that ten years ago I was once in the sisters shoes and wa la he is now my husband!!! Lauren seems to be a great judge of character and everything went well!!!!

Today Lauren and I went to a celebration for a friend that is expecting and is due in November. She had a very nice shower and cannot wait until the one that we are giving her. Lauren was slightly confused and kept telling her Happy Day Ms. Emily! Oh well, I guess all the gifts are the reason that she thought it was her birthday.

This week we will be adding a new addition to the Daniels' family. She is a golden lab and her name is Daisy Dog, in Lauren's words!!!! Yes, Ray and I bit the bullet and decided to let Lauren have a big dog. We also are excited as well. More to come on the puppy. I am sure that I will definitely have fun stories to tell!!!

Words are hurtful!!

You know my mom always told me watch what you say, especially when you are mad or angry, because it will hurt someones feelings. Am I the only one who abides by that rule? I mean nine times out of ten, when you say something out of anger do you really mean it? And when that person says I am sorry does it really make it better? I don't understand why would someone say something that they really didn't mean. They thought it, so why wouldn't they mean it when it came out of there mouth. It seems to me that it just made it more permanent spoken. All I can say is once the statement is said, it sticks in the mind of the person the comment was made too.

I am just rambling because I am speaking out for a friend of mine as well. God love her, why can't people just keep thier mouth shut? People just do not think!!!!!

Golfing for a cause!!!

Well, I wasn't particularly golfing for a cause, but there were many many men who were. I have no clue about golf, but I had the opportunity to volunteer this year for the Viking Classic Golf Tournament. Regions marshalled the fourth hole and it was actually a learning experience!!!! This year the Blair E Batson Hospital was on the recieving end for the charity. I love the hospital; and I love volunteering for any charity for children. So throughout the morning, I chased balls that didn't land on the fairway, and charted each shot that afternoon. I have to say that this whole time that I thought golf was just a boring sport, it was actually relaxing!!! I am glad that I chose to volunteer, and if I have the opportunity again to do so next year I will jump on it!!!!

Patience, Patience, Blah, Blah, Blah.....

Okay I would have to say that I am one of the most patient persons in the world, but when I have had it, I have had it. Have you ever just worked and worked at something and it never turns out and then you get the joys of someone looking at you while you are ranting and raving, they turn to you and say, "JUST BE PATIENT, it will happen!!!" That drives me insane!!!! Knowing good and well if they were on the other end of the conversation they would probably feel the same way I am and not wanting to hear the word!!! So please if you are on the other end listening to me gripe, please refrain from saying the wonderful word that begins with a p. I know it is a virtue, but I really try I do.

Nothing to really report in the Daniel's household today. The day actually pretty well, so until next time, talk to you later!!!

Motherhood Initiation

Okay, first of all I would like to send a couple of Thank yous out!!! I want to say thank you to my wonderful sister who made my beautiful header (hopefully that is the term!!) of that sweet thing I call my daughter for my blog!!! Also, thank you for the wonderful post about me, you definately give me more credit than I far more deserve. I love you and yes you are my bestest friend in the whole wide world!!!! Also, Amy thank you for the wonderful welcome to this new world!! Sammy is definatley the reason why I bit the bullet and started blogging, as with a lot of other things!!

Now on to the last couple of days.... It all started Thursday morning on the way to daycare. Now my normal ride to daycare is humming along to the dvd that is playing for Lauren on the way. The two that I could probably quote frontwards and backwards would be Finding Nemo, because we have yet to find him; and Elmo's World. Well minding our business and singing Elmo's World, we are approaching Elmo loves his goldfish, and I hear blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yes Lauren begins getting sick all in the car. Now I am not one for preparedness, that is why I married my husband, but I have to say I handled this pretty well. Of course, Lauren begins to cry because she has the wonderful traits of her Aunt NeNe of not wanting to get dirty. I console her and let her know that it would be okay and mommy would get home as soon as possible. Well the whole day, Lauren would never get sick at home it had to be somewhere; the drs office, the hospital, and Walmart (of all places!!!).

Well there are some people in this world that just doesn't realize that some of us aren't the greatest mommies in the world but we really try. With that being said, yes Lauren did get sick on aisle 4 in Walmart, and instead of the ladies that were passing by saying, "honey is there something I can help you with?" with my wailing child and vomit on me and the floor, they give me this look that says, "couldn't you prevent that from happening?" Well a couple of words for them, no I couldn't help it and yes I will get it cleaned up. I felt that my motherhood was really tested that day. A lot of people say that God doesn't put anymore on you than you can't handle, it makes me wonder he must think I can move mountains!!!! Oh well, Lauren is better and that is all that matters!!!! God Love her, one second she is sick and the next she is bouncing off of the walls. She is such a blessing!!!!!

Okay I have to admit this has been a very long post, but I really needed to get that off of my chest!! There is more to come in my crazy world,so stay posted!!!!

By the way, the pic I included gives me a chuckle everytime I am down, I thought I would share!!!!

Beginners Blog

Okay, I am not as good at this as my sister, but I thought that it would be a nice way to just get some feelings out instead of keeping them all locked up inside!!! Especially on days that I need to vent!!!! Oh well this is the beginning, please bear with me as I begin, I am not an experienced blogger so it is going to take some time!!!! Considering I have a lot of it!! HAHAHAHA So here I go........
